The Browns have completed OTAs, and a lot has come from the last couple of days. New faces such as Diontae Johnson and Teven Jenkins made their presence felt, putting on the brown and orange for the first time. The rookies got their first taste of NFL playing against the veterans, and new coaches have implemented the new regime for the 2025 season.
QB Competition

The story of camp so far has been around the quarterbacks and who has an early lead in the competition. Rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders had impressive moments throughout camp and worked their way from 3rd to 1st team reps at times. Veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett also had good moments, showing why they were brought in. Going off the QB tracker provided by ESPN Cleveland, Shedeur Sanders stands out with his impressive completion percentage and touchdown production. Gabriel and Pickett had their moments but seemed to struggle with completions. Lastly, Joe Flacco got the least amount of reps throughout camp but is the most proven out of the bunch.
Myles Garrett ready to go and speaks on Chubb loss

After signing the massive extension and skipping voluntary OTAs, Myles Garrett is back and ready to roll. Garrett looked exceptional on the field and got good work in next to 1st Round Pick Mason Graham. Garrett also spoke about losing Nick Chubb to the Houston Texans and the effect Chubb had on the team and locker room. Garrett said “He’s broken through all the ceilings that we’ve set forth for him, with the recovery from the injuries he’s had, how substantial they’ve been. And yet, he’s come back, excelled, and been able to play at a high level. It’s tough enough being on an NFL roster. And to come back, being the guy again, toting the rock — he’s special. And I hope he can continue to be that.”
Browns Schedule moving forward

As the Browns wrap up phase 3 of OTAs, the next step is Training Camp, which will take place in late July/early August. Following that will be the NFL Preseason Schedule.
Browns Preseason Schedule:
8/8: Browns @ Panthers (7:00 PM)
8/16: Browns @ Eagles (1:00 PM)
