Since then, Thornhill, who earned the name "Jog Thornhill" after giving disappointing effort in a game against the Saints this past season, has logged only 4 pass deflections and 0 interceptions.

The departure of Thornhill appeared to be mutual, according to NFL insider Mike Garafolo, who was first on the news, stating that the Browns and Thornhills' camp have been in contact the past couple days regarding this potential split. The move saves the Browns roughly $3.4 million in cap space.
